Common questions
Can I import my proposals from Bonsai?
Not yet, but it's on the roadmap. For now, you can recreate proposals quickly using our block-based editor.
Does ClosedOn replace Bonsai entirely?
ClosedOn focuses on proposals, signatures, and payments. If you need built-in accounting or time tracking, Bonsai covers more ground. If you want the fastest proposal-to-payment flow, ClosedOn is the better tool.
How does pricing compare?
ClosedOn starts at £19/month for solo freelancers or £49/month for unlimited team members. Bonsai starts at $24/month but charges per user, so a team of three is already over $70/month.
Are ClosedOn signatures as legally binding as Bonsai's?
Yes. Both use electronic signatures that comply with the ESIGN Act and eIDAS. ClosedOn additionally records a SHA-256 hash of the proposal content for tamper evidence.
What about contracts?
ClosedOn's terms block serves as a lightweight contract. For complex multi-party contracts, you may still want a dedicated tool. Most freelancers find the terms block sufficient.
